More on Jellinge style Viking art:
Dating from roughly 900 CE to 975 CE, this style is named after the famous silver Jelling cup, found in King Gorm’s grave site. Distinguished by ribbon shaped animals, these do not grip themselves but are intertwined in their own uniformly-wide bodies and have a side profiled head. The beasts have head-lappets, open jaws, round eyes, and beading texture along their bodies.
